Compassionate, Professional, Provocative, Powerful!
There is hope for you! It is possible to enjoy life once again in spite of tinnitus, hyperacusis or auditory perception/sound sensitivity disorders.
With education, support, reassurance and implementation of evidence-based therapies you can move toward a better quality of life. The development of an auditory perceptual disorder creates a devastating and often profound emotional response. Rehabilitation is possible, even in cases when the acoustic perception or injury is heightened by post-traumatic stress. Help is available in person or via a secure telemedicine format.
Services are available for clients of all ages for the following auditory perceptual or sound sensitivity disorders:
- Acoustic Shock Syndrome
- Decreased Sound Tolerance
- Tonic Tensor Tympani Syndrome
I am committed to helping you or your child navigate the road to recovery through a customized treatment program drawing on the best evidence-based techniques available.
The initial consultation will include an opportunity to co-create a customized treatment plan that makes sense for you. Education, along with evidence-based techniques may include Hyperacusis and Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, Misophonia Management, Solution-Focused Counselling, Guided Mindfulness Meditation, Hypnotherapy, and/or Music Listening Therapy.
In some cases referral to other professionals may be recommended as part of the treatment plan.
Our clients enjoy a welcome change from the typical medical office by receiving professional services and support in a quiet and comfortable home-based setting. Services are also available via a secure telemedicine format.
